Oh my children, it has been way too long.  I can’t really say nothing is happening but I can’t say something is happening either.  I can give you a couple of things that are pretty much confirmed for now.
1. I am doing a solo concert on FRIDAY, NOV. 30.  Mark it in your calendars.  It will be at Metropolitan Community Church, 115 Simpson Ave., Toronto.  I’m just working out what it will consist of now.  I’m very excited.  It will be my first big solo gig since being back from Broadway.
2. I am doing a solo Christmas cabaret on SUNDAY, DEC. 16 at Tallulah’s Cabaret at Buddies In Bad Times.  I LOOOVE CHRISTMAS!!  It’s been years since I’ve done a Christmas show.  There will be some familiar songs done in unfamiliar ways.  A special visitor or two.  Some cheer, some camp, some laughs, some surprises. Come on, IT’S CHRISTMAS!!!!!

I hope everyone can come.  I will give more details of where and when as everything gets ironed out.  And if you’re wondering if it’s a lot of the same material in both . . . please, would I do that to you my children?  There may be a couple of tunes in common, but for the most part, they will be two very VERY different evenings.

And there is still a rather large piece of kooky, fun news that I’ve been waiting to tell you.  I think it will be sharable by the end of the coming week so stay tuned.   I’m chomping at the bit . . . . the bit of what I don’t know but I’m a-chompin’.

Other than that, things have been going really well here in Niagara-on-the-Lake.  Ragtime is selling like hotcakes.  I’m not sure why hotcakes sell so well… but we are selling like them.  Of the 4 Ragtimes a week (we do His Girl Friday the other 4 times a week), 2 or 3 are sold out and the other one(s) is/are 80something or 90something percent.  And His Girl Friday audiences are having a hey-day.  It’s been a great summer.

Oh I haven’t had the chance to mention my new trainer. Hey-soos!!!!  Craig Ramsay, y’all. He’s a Canadian who has been in the U.S. for a while.  Dancer/singer/actor and now fitness guru.  One of the most incredible bodies I’ve ever seen on someone I know personally.  He’s like a fitness magazine model who is airbrushed in real life.  He is based in L.A. now.  He was one of the main trainers on the T.V. show Thintervention and he’s just written two fitness books that are awesome.  “Anatomy of Body Building” and “Anatomy of Stretching”.  If you’re in L.A. he trains you in person but if you aren’t, as I am not, he trains you through Skype, videos (of him doing exercises) and e-mail.  He’s so comprehensive – food, exercise, inspiration.    I lost 20 lbs.  in 6 1/2 weeks (and still counting) and changed my muscle make-up.  (No I don’t mean I’ve added false eye-lashes to my pecs) And it’s just through exercise and diet.  No fads or gimmicks. I’ve literally been working my derriere off.  Okay not off but . . .up.

And that’s really all that’s been going on.  NOTL is a pretty quiet town.  But I’ve always got my projects going on. I just can’t always talk about them.  Yet as always, as soon as I can, you’ll know.

And again, sorry for being so silent. Just haven’t had much to tell until now.  And there is more to come.

  1. Hey Thom!
Hoping to get out to see the show soon. Sorry to hear about the weight loss. All the world needs is more informative, inspiring, gaunt actors!
